Es una solución hematínica formulada con base en un complejo polinuclear no ionizado de hidróxido férrico y sucrosa, estéril y libre de pirógenos, para administración por vía intravenosa en equinos.
Estudios clínicos efectuados con HIPPIRON® han demostrado una alta tolerabilidad en su administración al no producir daño sobre las venas ni sobre los tejidos adyacentes, además de que no se ha demostrado ningún efecto sobre el funcionamiento cardiaco durante o después de su administración intravenosa.
Se han efectuado estudios experimentales administrando hasta 20 veces la dosis recomendada de HIPPIRON®, sin producirse efectos tóxicos.

USO
Hippiron:
-Se recomienda en el tratamiento de procesos anémicos en caballos, atribuibles a deficiencias de hierro.
-Se indica en los casos en que se determine la presencia del síndrome preanémico. Indicado para mejorar el rendimiento de caballos de competencia, actuando como un elemento de la oxigenación celular.
-Indicado antes y después de cirugía, para estimular el apetito y durante la época de cruza, tanto en sementales como en hembras.
-Auxiliar en la preparación de caballos de competencia.
INDICACIONES
DOSIS:
Caballos con peso de 400 kg o mayor: 20 ml al día durante 10 días, o 50 ml cada tercer día por cuatro ocasiones, hasta un total de 200 ml.
Caballos con peso entre 200 y 400 kg: 20 ml cada tercer día (de 4 a 6 veces), hasta un total de 80 a 120 ml.
Potros después del destete: 20 ml.
Puede diluirse en soluciones con base en glucosa y electrólitos, disuelva 20 ml de HIPPIRON® en 500 ml de la solución.
VÍA DE ADMINISTRACIÓN:
Intravenosa lenta exclusivamente.
CONTRAINDICACIONES:
No existen contraindicaciones para HIPPIRON a las dosis recomendadas, excepto cuando la anemia sea atribuible a la presencia de tumores.
